ENERGY.EU:
ENERGY.EU is a compact transnational cooperation initiative under the Interreg Danube Region Programme designed to empower citizens and local communities to participate actively in the energy transition by becoming prosumers and members of energy communities. The project addresses socio‑economic barriers and knowledge gaps that limit engagement with renewable energy markets. It analyses existing energy community models and prosumer networks, engages stakeholders through participatory planning and consultations, and develops pathways that support community ownership of energy generation and collective action against energy poverty. Through these activities, ENERGY.EU contributes to more inclusive, resilient, and locally anchored energy systems in the Danube Region.
