Who is behind this campaign?

We are social innovation enthusiasts with long experience in international cooperation projects. This campaign began in the Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects SEMPRE and SEMPRE Accelerators, and is carried forward today by RESIST – Regional Ecosystems for Social Innovation and Social Transformation. But our ambition has always reached beyond a single programme: we want to promote the added value of social innovation across all Interreg B programmes – from the Danube to the North Sea, from Central Europe to the Baltic Sea, from the Alps to North West Europe.

Together with the partners of the many projects carried out in 2014–2020 and 2021–2027, we are raising the voice of social innovation where it matters most right now: in the negotiations on the next funding period. The framework for the coming decade of European territorial cooperation is being written now. We want social innovation to be part of it not as an add-on, but as an integral element of what Interreg is for.
