RESIST

RESIST – Regional Ecosystems for Social Innovation and Social Transformation:
RESIST is an Interreg Baltic Sea Region core project aiming to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by making them more inclusive and responsive to social innovators and social entrepreneurs. While many regions already support mainstream innovation, RESIST works with regional authorities, business support organisations and sectoral agencies to adapt existing innovation support systems—such as funding instruments, capacity building schemes and public services—to better meet the needs of solutions addressing societal and environmental challenges. The project pilots new approaches, including the Cluster of Social and Ecological Innovation (CSEI) model and mission-oriented policy tools, to embed social innovation more strategically within regional innovation strategies and foster cross-sectoral collaboration for sustainable and inclusive growth across the Baltic Sea Region.

The RESIST project strengthens regional innovation ecosystems for social innovation and social entrepreneurship by developing models and capacity-building approaches that make existing support systems more accessible for innovators addressing societal and environmental challenges — and socialinterreg.eu is one among many of the results of the RESIST project, created to share, support, and scale these resources.
