TIGER – FosTering eHealth and Social Innovations as Game-changers in Senior and Remote Care:
The TIGER project is an Interreg Alpine Space initiative addressing healthcare challenges specific to the Alpine region, where rugged terrain and dispersed communities result in unequal access to care, particularly for ageing populations. TIGER develops and pilots a Systemic Support Model — a structured and coordinated set of services supporting SMEs and startups in advancing digital health and social innovation solutions from concept to market.
Through co-designed innovation support services, regional service points and an online one-stop-shop platform (Tigerpath.eu), the project fosters cross-border cooperation, accelerates the diffusion of impactful eHealth innovations and informs policy development to strengthen healthcare innovation ecosystems across the Alpine area.
The TIGER project drives social innovation and social entrepreneurship by supporting eHealth and elderly care startups with co-designed innovation support services and transnational collaboration that improve health solutions in remote Alpine communities.

• Systemic Support Model – A transnationally coordinated approach delivering innovation support services across multiple technology readiness levels.
• Innovation Support Services Pilots – Pilot implementation of services including Expert Assessment, Hackathons, Market Entry Accelerator, Product Validation, Market Access Strategy, Matchmaking, Startups & Investors Platform, Go2Payers and Sustainability Compliance, tested across multiple partner regions.
• Validated Systemic Support Model – A tested and scalable framework enabling coordinated cross-border service delivery.
• Innovation Support Guide – A comprehensive guide summarising validated services and implementation recommendations for broader uptake.
• Policy Recommendations – Targeted briefs guiding policymakers and stakeholders on fostering eHealth innovation and reducing healthcare inequalities in senior and remote care.
