INDEED

INDEED (Innovation for Dementia in the Danube Region):
In times of ageing populations, dementia becomes an increasing societal challenge. Funded by the Interreg programme for the Danube region, INDEED works on this very challenge. In the Danube region, the quality of dementia care lags behind European standards in terms of knowledge, skills and cooperation of healthcare professionals, availability of specific services, and use of assistive technology. The Danube region also suffers from the emigration of healthcare workers. The main objective of INDEED is to improve dementia care in the Danube region and contribute to the implementation of national dementia strategies with the scope of enhancing the quality of life of people with dementia and their carers.

OUTPUTS:
The main result of INDEED is improved dementia care in terms of more people being diagnosed at an early stage, a greater percentage of people receiving appropriate treatment and follow-up, a broader spectrum of individually-tailored treatment options, and better availability of care facilities at the point of need.
