ALIS

ALIS (Accelerating Local Innovation in Sustainable Food Systems):
ALIS is a transnational project under the Interreg Sudoe Programme aimed at fostering sustainable and innovative practices in regional agri-food systems across Southwestern Europe. The project promotes collaboration between SMEs, research institutions, and public authorities to strengthen innovation capacity, improve sustainability, and enhance competitiveness in local food chains. ALIS facilitates the adoption of circular economy approaches, sustainable production methods, and innovative business models, while supporting the digitalisation and modernisation of the agri-food sector. Through pilot activities, knowledge exchange, and training, the project empowers regional actors and contributes to resilient, socially-inclusive, and environmentally-sound food systems.

ALIS aims to improve rural youth employability and inclusion by using experiential social innovation activities based on nature sports to build life and professional skills, strengthen connections to local territories, and open up economic and entrepreneurship opportunities across SUDOE regions.

OUTPUTS:
• Development of innovation support tools and guidance for sustainable practices in local food chains.
• Pilot projects implementing circular economy solutions and sustainable production techniques.
• Training sessions and workshops for SMEs to strengthen capacity and skills in innovation management.
• Creation of knowledge-sharing platforms to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders.
