Danube4SEEcosystem

Danube4SEEcosystem – Strengthening Social and Solidarity Economy Ecosystems:
Danube4SEEcosystem is a transnational cooperation project under the Interreg Danube Region Programme that aims to strengthen and better integrate Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) ecosystems across the Danube Region. The project addresses structural fragmentation, limited policy recognition, and uneven support frameworks for social economy actors by fostering coordinated, multi-level governance and cross-sectoral collaboration. Through joint analysis, stakeholder engagement, pilot actions, and policy learning, the project supports public authorities and ecosystem actors in developing enabling environments for social enterprises and SSE initiatives, contributing to inclusive regional development, social innovation, and resilience.

Danube4SEecosystem strengthens regional ecosystems for social innovation and social entrepreneurship by improving policies, support tools, and cooperation frameworks for social economy actors across the Danube Region.

OUTPUTS:
• Joint Danube Region analytical framework and mapping of Social and Solidarity Economy ecosystems.
• Development of policy recommendations and governance models to strengthen SSE support structures.
• Pilot actions testing ecosystem-building measures in participating regions.
• Establishment of transnational and regional stakeholder platforms for SSE cooperation and dialogue.
• Capacity-building activities and training materials for public authorities and ecosystem actors.
• Action plans supporting the integration of SSE into regional and local development strategies.
• Knowledge products and reports facilitating transferability and policy uptake across the Danube Region.
