INNOCAP:
INNOCAP is a transnational project under the Interreg North‑Sea Programme that aims to enhance the innovation capacity of SMEs and micro-enterprises in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region. The project addresses barriers to innovation, including limited access to knowledge, networks, and skills, by fostering cross-border collaboration, mentoring, and co-creation activities. INNOCAP strengthens the ability of small businesses to develop new products, services, and processes, while simultaneously promoting regional economic growth and resilience. Through practical capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and innovation support tools, the project empowers entrepreneurs and local innovation ecosystems to leverage knowledge effectively and increase competitiveness.
INNOCAP aims to build public sector capacity in the Northern Periphery and Arctic by enabling organisations to adopt disruptive digital innovations for better quality and sustainable public services, fostering social innovation and social entrepreneurship in addressing regional challenges such as ageing populations, service gaps, and the twin digital-green transition.
