VERDEinMED:
VERDEinMED (PreVEnting and ReDucing the tEXtiles waste mountain in the MED area) is a transnational cooperation project supported by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme that aims to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable and circular textile sector in the Mediterranean region. The initiative brings together a diverse consortium of public authorities, research institutions, industry associations, civil society organisations and clusters to analyse the textile value chain, detect critical points of inefficiency and waste generation, and co-develop innovative tools and services that foster circular business models. Through strategic knowledge exchange, capacity-building, stakeholder engagement and pilot activities, VERDEinMED promotes conscious consumption, industrial sustainability and policy frameworks that support resource-efficient practices across the textile lifecycle. The project aspires to reduce environmental impact, strengthen competitiveness and embed circular economy principles into regional development approaches across the Mediterranean.
VERDEinMED enhances climate resilience in Mediterranean regions through nature-based solutions and governance innovation, strengthening social innovation and social entrepreneurship for sustainable territorial adaptation.
